A big turnout of more than a thousand arrived at Church Road, the Home of SuttonSpas sponsored Boldmere St Michaels FC, on Sunday to see an eagerly awaited charity football match between ex Aston Villa captain Stilian ‘Stan’ Petrov’s League XI, take on a non-league allstars XI picked by Boldmere captain Tom Stevenson. Tom is bravely battling Motor Nurone disease after being diagnosed 2 years ago. The pair have become firm friends supporting each other in their battles against ill health. Famous faces seen included Maik Taylor, Chris Sutton, Dave Busst, Sid Cowans, Lee Carsley, Lee Hendie, Tommy Mooney, Darren Byfield, Martin Petrov, Stan Petrov and Zat Knight. On field entertainment provided by the players, some of the off field entertainment provided by RotoSpa in the form of a touchline hot tub seen here being enjoyed by young members of crown.
